You were born to Sparkle

I just had a very difficult night.  I felt criticized, belittled, and attacked on every level.  I hoped it wouldn't be and prayed both in the evening and during the night for peace and forgiveness.  I remembered how it feels to kneel down and pray...  I took a walk during the night at the peak of my troubled emotions and looked up at the stars, acknowledging an amazing creator of the stars and also of my spirit.  I read NieNie 's blog and there was a link for "spiritual enlightenment" ie a talk by Elder Scott that was just what I needed to read.  Also this morning I read this daily email I get called "my daily truth" from the Brave Girls Club.  These messages are so sweet.  Love them.  Again, this message spoke directly to me.  Like it was written for me.  Two small tender mercies.

Dear Sparkling Girl,

Not everyone is going to understand you, or understand your ways. Not everyone is going to understand your heart, your tenderness, your intentions. Not everyone is going to "get" you. Not everyone is going to appreciate you. Not everyone is going to see you, notice you and recognize you. Not everyone is going support you.

Beautiful friend, don't let ANY of that stop you.

We have got to do the things we know to do, the things our hearts ache to do. We have got to do those things in the ways that only WE can do them, in the ways that are most authentic & most truth-filled for each of us.

When we do things from a soul-deep place, we must find our validation from the source of those things -- not from what others on the outside think about what we are doing or how we are doing it.

People who do things from their souls SPARKLE and will attract other SPARKLING people. Let it go if there are those who can't stand the brightness of your sparkle. Shine on. And then shine and shine and shine.

You were BORN to shine, you were born to sparkle.
You are so very loved.
