Bruce

Brucetopher William Kenlington III is our very hardy hamster.  He's ran out of food or water several times.  He survived a 500 mile trip from Utah to Montana and 2 day vacation last summer, packed in the back of an overpacked truck along with camping gear on bumpy roads.  He didn't have a heart attack  from the two dogs very interested in trying to find a way into his cage to make him a nice snack.  I guess small rodents have to be hardy to have survived historically.  Bruce, even got picky, only eating the good stuff-high fat sunflower seeds instead of the grains resulting in a massive weight gain.  He got too fat to run on his wheel.  He's slimming down now and we smartened up and are not replacing his food until he's eaten the healthier stuff.
This afternoon I got him out to eat some veggies and was amused by his bed head.
Except it was more like "bed butt."

The lighting wasn't very good but can you see his little tail sticking out.  He has "fins." Like an old car his hair sticks out in the back.  Very fuzzy and frizzy.  I keep telling Jaden to bring home a Barbie brush from Belfry!  How's that for alliteration?
